Simple Star Block – Sew Hometown

Simple Star Block | Sew Hometown

It’s time to turn the page and stitch up a new block for our Sew Hometown Quilt. This month is all about the Simple Star block.

Simple Star Block

The Simple Star block is all about joining smaller units together. The patchwork construction highlights flying geese. In the video I’ve shared a few of my best tips for piecing this block together.

I had fun selecting scraps from my stash and making each Simple Star block unique. The fabric requirements are small enough that you can easily use up leftover fat quarters from past projects.

The Sew Hometown pattern provides many opportunities to make your blocks unique and we want to see! Be sure to tag us on social media with @inspiringstitches and #inspiringstitches or #sewhometown

Looking for a new challenge? Come sew with us! Sew Hometown is a great pattern for new and experienced quilters. We love the added challenge of using our scraps in a fun project. Learn more about Sew Hometown here.

Check back each month for a video to go along with the written instructions in the pattern.
